Gentle Morning Yoga with Sarah Moore

Mondays 9:30-10:30 am

   Wake up the body and gently increase range of motion without stress and strain. This is a great class for beginners and those with limited mobility.

   Come join our community in this playful and powerful yoga flow class for fresh inspiration each week as we share the dance of life. We will mainly focus on traditional yoga poses but other practices, traditions and philosophies will also help us heal, energize, release, open and explore more deeply our connection to ourselves and our greater world. Tuesdays, 9:30-10:30am ( beginner/ older bodies)

    Designed for people with limited mobility and/or range of motion. (That means you can do it! and it gently takes you to your edge) This class will work on flexibility and strength to increase postural alignment for optimal balance and function. (This means you will get stronger and be able to move more after taking this class!) Application of gentle Yogic asana practice with integrated Pilates and spinal stabilization approaches. Mostly Outside!!!!   Zumba with Covie

    I, Aaliyah Covington aka Covie, love to dance! The music I incorporate with dance is a mix of Hip-Hop, Afro-beat and Latinx music. I offer low impact classes on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 10-11am. I offer more intense classes on Tuesdays and Thursday nights from 7-8pm and on Saturday from 10-11am. Classes typically go for about 1 hour (45 min of Zumba & a 10 min optional ab circuit). The goal is to have fun and burn calories while doing it. Below is the link to RSVP for a class. Keep it Simple (KIS) – Hatha Yoga with Eileen Nyholt

All Persons MUST be vaccinated! Limit to 8 persons. You must confirm with Eileen as to if there is space for you before class!

This class is good for the person with just a little bit of yoga to the moderate level practitioner. It is basic hatha yoga, with a little flow, on a mat. The use blocks or strap are the primary props also helpful. (In this day and age it is advisable to bring your own props if you can.) Eileen also introduces a hand mudra of the day, setting a theme.  Use of breathe-work can also be integrated within the class. The class runs a good hour and 25 min.

Introduce yourself to Eileen at beginning of class to work out payment plan.

    Designed for people with slightly more limited mobility and/or range of motion. (That means you can do it! and it gently takes you to your edge) This class will work on strength and  flexibility to increase postural alignment for optimal balance and function. Find your body getting stronger with more ease of movement.  Application of gentle hatha(posture) and prana(breath) yogic practice with integrated Pilates and spinal stabilization, and other therapeutic  balance/strength approaches. During my Zumba class I choreograph strengthening dance moves with dynamic, heart pumping tunes to get you sweating . A fun way to train your cardio system while working your muscles, all to get the ultimate in fun fitness training! Dharma Recovery Meditation group

    Refuge Recovery is a Buddhist-oriented, non-theistic recovery program that does not ask anyone to believe anything, only to trust the process and do the hard work of recovery. Whether you have never danced and say you have “two left feet” or you are an experienced Social Dancer of 25 years, this class is for you. If your heart beats you have a rhythm.

    You will learn what is possible in Dance: hands, feet, dancer preference, lead, follow. We are an absolutely inclusive space, so no hate will be tolerated. You will feel more confident and connected leaving this class.

    The goal of the class is to teach connection, improvisation improvement and create an atmosphere of inclusion.

    Cost is $5 for the space. I want EVERYONE to be able to learn how to dance. But hey, more is up to you, and I deeply appreciate when you appreciate me and Pink House. I take tips and I believe in thriving communities.

Self Awareness Through Martial Arts

Ecstatic Dance – Off Site!

At Kern Park- east end, (down the hill, toward the river)

     Dance is a way to reclaim our ecstatic experience of life. It gets us out of our heads and into our bodies and the present moment. 

     Ecstatic dance is un-choreographed, yet supported. We come together in conscious community to connect with ourselves, each other, and a greater life force. We dance in a safe environment, free of judgment, that allows us to access the fun and healing power of creative expression through movement. No previous dance experience is required. All ages and abilities welcome.

     We’ll begin with some basic guidelines, setting our individual intentions, then dance to a wide range of musical styles. As the session draws to a close, we’ll return to stillness, with an invitation to reflect on the experience. 

Donations to Pink House Studio received as able.

   WE are so sad….Because of the COVID19 epidemic, many classes have been cancelled. A few are going to be starting back up. Most are interested in patrons to be fully vaccinated before attending.
